Greatwood is best known for successfully rehabilitating and re-homing of former racehorses but having observed the extraordinary communication that exists between autistic children and horses, Greatwood created Horse. The programme develops life skills, promotes confidence and a sense of purpose, helping prepare children for an independent adult life when they leave their special schools.

Lower Moss Wood Nature Reserve & Wildlife Hospital

Lower Moss Wood, based in Cheshire, rehabilitates up to 2000 wildlife casualties each year, ranging from bats to badgers and hedgehogs to hawks, with the objective of returning them to the wild.

We run an environmental education programme from our study centre, based in our 18 acre nature reserve.
