First they conquered Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief, now Radio1 DJ Fearne Cotton and TV star Denise Van Outen are set to trek the Inca Trail to raise funds for Breast Cancer Care.
The intrepid duo have persuaded several famous friends to join their challenge in Peru including This Morning presenter Holly Willoughby, singers Pixie Lott and Alexandra Burke, model Abbey Clancy - girlfriend of England star Peter Crouch, and the Daily Mirror’s 3am girls.
Denise Van Outen said: “The Inca trek is something I have always wanted to do. Ever since we climbed Kili we have been looking for a new challenge. It's going to be an amazing experience and we're so happy to be raising money for Breast Cancer Care, a charity which is really close to our hearts.”
Taking place in September, their 80km high altitude trek along the Inca Trail to the mystical Inca ruins at Machu Picchu will be shown in a two-part documentary on ITV2.
Classic Tours is proud to be one of the only operators offering the REAL Inca Trail in Peru as a charity challenge event. It is also the most responsible way to reach Machu Picchu. The Inca Trail has a restriction on the number of people who can trek this route – just over 200 per day and it also closes for 2 months of the year to allow the land time to recover.
